Take baby steps and work your way up. If you haven't been working out regularly, it's best to ease into it and build up from there. You can ease into exercising outside without worrying about being hurt, and you'll enjoy it more, too. Start with a brief walk or jog around your neighbourhood, and then work up to longer and faster outings as your fitness level and confidence improve.


Look for a pal. Exercising in the fresh air with a friend or a small group may be a great way to stay motivated and have fun. And if you have someone to keep you honest, you're far more likely to achieve your fitness objectives. Having the correct clothes and shoes for outdoor exercise is crucial for your comfort and safety. Wearing moisture-wicking textiles will help you stay cool and dry, and shoes with appropriate support and grip will help you maintain your footing. Make careful to protect your skin from the sun by using sunscreen and wearing a hat if you plan on working out while temperatures and/or sunshine are high.


Find somewhere that fits your preferences and requirements. Whether you like jogging, cycling, hiking, or even yoga, you can do it all outside. Think on what interests you and what you can find locally. For solitary workouts, it's best to choose somewhere peaceful and unobtrusive. Find a park or path that sees a lot of foot activity if you thrive off the buzz of other people.


Have a safe trip. When working out outside, especially in a metropolis, it's crucial to remain alert and safe. If you must exercise in poor light, make sure you wear luminous clothes and bring a phone or personal safety device with you. Be aware of your location and situation at all times, and don't be shy about asking for assistance if you feel you need it.
